The Thinker and Will eyed each other. Gina had come into the classroom minutes after Kate did. She found herself screaming at The Scream. "AAAAAAAAUUGGHHH!" They screamed at each other. It was hard to tell who was louder.

Then, Gina did the first thing that came to her mind. She put him in a headlock. "Give me a rag or something."

"You think tying him up is a good thing?" Kate asked.

"Well, I don't have any other ideas at the moment," Gina said.

"Wait," said Mona Lisa. "He will calm down. He is just very scared about his painting." She turned to him, "The sky is gray out right now. It's cloudy and it looks like a storm is coming. You are safe."

"Are you sure it's not red?" He said.

"There are no red skies like your painting. You are safe here," she told the Scream.

The words reassured him and he stopped screaming and sank down in a red, plastic chair.

"Well, I guess we should close the doors," suggested Kate. Will ran to the door, and then forced a chair at an angle underneath it. "There, that will keep us safe from other people for a little while."

Then, she realized Mrs. Sanderson was missing. "Where's Mrs. Sanderson?" Kate asked. Once again, Will pointed. There she was, lying on the floor near her desk. Kate ran to her side, leaning over. She could hear her breathing.

"She is okay. Just passed out," he said. "She must have seen it all and fainted. She might be out for a little while. I don't know much about these things. She came in a little while before I did. I guess she was startled by everything."

"Well, I think we need to work fast if we want to help these paintings… um, people out," said Kate. She looked at Mona Lisa, who was sitting there quietly. "Will, you have The Thinker, Gina you get the Scream, and my job will be Mona Lisa. They look just like regular people, so why don't we find some regular clothes and see if we could get them to blend in here, while we figure things out."

"I have some extra clothes in my locker. I think maybe the Scream could fit into something I have," Will offered. Kate noticed that The Thinker was already wearing one of Will's Lynyrd Skynyrd tee shirts, and jeans. He looked so different. Kate knew The Thinker by his face. But he looked strangely real and with his new clothing, he almost looked like one of them.

Kate gave Will a smile of thanks for taking care of The Thinker. The real Thinker was a little … bare. But, Will had already taken care of that right away.

"Okay. Why don't we each take turns going to our lockers? We will try to make them look as normal as possible," Kate suggested.
